We utilize several types of stands. We have enclosed metal stands, wooden platform stands, wooden ladder stands and metal tree stands. We also will provide lock-on stands for those who do not bring their own and wish to hunt in the same area as their assigned stand, but not from the assigned stand.
An out-of state six day hunting license costs $50. The state of North Carolina allows the taking of six deer in the Eastern Region. No more than three can be bucks. We permit the hunter to kill two bucks with spikes or better. The third buck, which can be the first, second or third, must have six points or better. This makes it easier in that a good six pointer or better may not be in your sights on the first or second day and we want you to harvest deer while you are here. Mature does may be killed at any time.
With our full service plan, we provide lodging, meals, stands and assistance with the dressing of your deer. We will dress the deer and quarter the meat and keep it in our coolers until you are ready to leave.
We also offer another plan for those wishing to hunt after                                    Thanksgiving week and receive a great value. We will provide only lodging, stands and coolers in this plan.
We also offer three day bear hunts in eastern North Carolina. The limit is one. Lodging and meals are NOT included in the price for bear hunts.
See our reservations form for prices.
Our lodging includes facilities for ladies and we welcome them as hunters or as companions during the week. We offer a special rate of $45 per
night for non-hunting spouses or dependants.
Children over 12 may hunt when accompanied by an adult. Youths over 16 may hunt alone, if the parent is a paying hunter. A hunter under 16 pays half the full hunt price.
We are conveniently located off I-95, about 25 miles South of the Virginia state line. We hunt approximately 6,000 acres of leased farm land.
We average about 80% for deer hunting and about 60% for bear hunting. The deer average about 140 or less pounds and the bear average about 300 pounds.
We also offer Spring eastern wild turkey hunting. We offer two day hunts on Monday and Tuesday or on Thursday and Friday. We average about 50% for turkeys.
We are a state licensed preserve and offer quail and pheasant hunting by reservation. We will provide the dog or you may bring your own. We will provide a kennel and rations for $10 per night. We require advance notice, with a deposit for the birds, if you intend to do preserve hunting.
We also offer a site for sporting clays for a nominal fee, so bring your shotgun.
